Abstract
368,670. C e n t r i f u g a l machines. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR, 8, Fleminggatan, Stockholm. Sept. 17, 1931, No. 26107. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1930. Addition to 360,189. [Class 23.] The centrifugal separator described in the parent Specification is modified by having the central tube constructed in two parts. The upper part 28 carries the discs, and has at its base an extension the diameter of which does not exceed the diameter of the discs. The lower part 29 exceeds the discs in diameter, and with the bowl base forms passages 4 for the supply of material. The two parts are separated by a rubber ring 30 or the like, and only the upper part 28 with the discs need be removed for cleaning purposes. The lower part 29 may have exchangeable rings 31; these have different diameters and are used to regulate the outer limit of the channel 4 according to the nature of the slime. The vanes 27 in the drum and the vanes in the channels 4 may be fixed to the part 29 or the rings 31.
