Abstract

365,989. Centrifugal machines. SOC. ANON. RAFFINERIE TIRLEMONTOISE, Tirlemont, Belgium. Aug. 26, 1931, No. 24011. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1930. [Class 23.] Substances containing colloidal matter are centrifuged in a perforated drum 1. They are supplied through the pipe 5 and are spread over the drum wall by the distributer 4. The constituents are firs separated according to their density and the colloidal matter forms the innermost layer in the drum. The stripping tube 6, which can be adjusted radially in the drum by the hand-wheel 7, passes the colloidal matter to the trough 9 ; the centrifuging can then be completed and a dry material obtained in the drum.
