Abstract
519,716. Mixing& c. chocolate. LEHMANN, F. B. Sept. 27, 1938, No. 14345/39. Divided out of 519,700, under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 17, 1939. [Class 86] Apparatus for treating chocolate by simultaneously mixing and exposure to air is arranged so that the area exposed is 2 sq. metres for each 100 kg. of the mass. In one form a rotary drum with an oscillating mixing-arm is fitted with internal ribs and with a fixed scraper which returns the material raised by the wall of the drum. Fig. 4 shows another form in which the chocolate is mixed by a blade 29 in a vessel 24 from which it is fed by a pump 35 to a perforated pipe 36 whence it falls on to rotary discs 33 mounted in a separate vessel 30 from which it is pumped back to the mixing vessel..
