Abstract

390,693. Kettle &c. lids. ALPHONSE, L. ST., 26, Watford Way, Hendon, London. Sept. 6, 1932, No. 20536. [Class 66.] A vessel lid 10 adapted to carry an electric immersion heater 19 is provided with a convex under surface 11 and means 13 adjustable radially to fit various sizes of apertures. In a modification a lid is provided with a flange of variable diameter formed by a strip carried by clips arranged in slots in the lid. In a further modification arms pivoted on the underside of a lid carry arcuate strips forming a discontinuous flange.
