Abstract
263,296. Ashberry, G., and Cockbill, E. C. Dec. 17, 1925. Pots and jugs.-Teapots, coffee pots, and like vessels are provided with a thin perforated sheet metal strainer a, either flat or curved to follow the shape of the body b, fitting over the opening to the spout or lip c, the periphery d of the spout opening forming one wall of a shallowgroove or indent on each side of the spout to form a guide for the strainer. With an opentopped lip, a turned-in side flange e may be provided at each edge, terminating in a bridgepiece f, the flanges e assisting to retain the strainer a in position, and the lid h, Fig. 1, may have an extension i to cover the open top of the lip. The Provisional Specification describes the holding of the strainer, in position by side flanges or the like formed on the pot. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to, Specifications 12572/84, 8680/01, and 6534/06.
