Abstract
267,330. Hill, A. G. March 27, 1926. Pots.-A tea or coffee pot or like vessel 1 has a strainer 2 which can be removed from the pot 1 without raising the lid 8. The strainer 2, or a part thereon, extends through a slot or aperture 6 in the upper part 7 of the pot, separate from the lid opening, or in a flange forming part of the upper part, and may have a metal &c. strip 9 for covering the slot 6, and a grip knob 10. In the construction described, the strainer 2 is transversely curved and slides in guides 5 which terminate above the bottom of the pot. The strainer has small perforation 3, or may have a piece of wire gauze attached thereto, opposite the spout opening. The Provisional Specification describes the provision of guides extending to the bottom of the pot and of a stop on the lower edge of the strainer to prevent it being entirely withdrawn.
