Abstract
277,841. Corfield, J. Dec. 24, 1926. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Pots.-A strainer S slidable in guides g in a tea or coffee pot P and covering the inside end of the spout p<1> has a narrow upward extension or neck S<1> passing through a recess p<11> in the edge of the pot or of the lid so that the strainer can be operated from without the pot. The extension S<1> may be integral with the strainer and may be straight or curved, or it may be a wire or other attachment. At its upper end the extension S<1> may have a rolled edge S" or knob which may act as a support for the strainer. In a modification, Fig. 4, the strainer S may have lateral projections e, and gaps g<11> may be provided in the guides g so that the strainer can be disengaged therefrom by a small upward movement.
