Abstract
239,318. Ridge, A. C. July 11, 1924. Pots.-A metal tea or coffee pot or like vessel has a detachable infuser or strainer J, supported by a flange K resting upon a flange or lip at the mouth opening, and provided with one or more tubular parts adapted to take over a rod or rods M mounted within the vessel. To assist in maintaining the strainer in place when the vessel is tilted for pouring, a projection L may be formed on the strainer adapted to engage the adjacent underside of the mouth flange, or a neb or projection L<1> may be provided on the vessel above the mouth opening adapted to engage the rim K of the strainer. The part L may comprise a rim or bead encircling the body of the strainer. The neb L<1> may be brazed on to or may be integral with the mouth opening of the vessel. The lid E may be hinged to the vessel or loose.
