Heating-surfaces, increasing; handles; spouts. -A kettle &c. 1 is provided with a stepped conical bottom 2, the parts 3 of the steps sloping downwards to form sharp angles 5. To facilitate resting for transit the upper part 11 is made cylindrical so as to fit into the second step of the vessel above it, the spout is screwed in place, so as to be removable, and the handle 6, which is provided with a shield 7 as shown, is secured removably by screws. A pivoted lid 9 slides sideways over the filling orifice.
