Abstract

390,359. Weatherexcluders for sills of doors or windows. BARCLAY, N., Fao, Bridge-of-Weir Road, Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire. June 16, 1932, No. 17020. [Class 20 (iii).] A pivoted-flap weather-excluder of the kind described in Specification 319,145 has combined therewith a sill plate covering the front edge of the sill and bent to form an uprising bead 8 which prevents the passage of water inwardly. A quadrantal plate 9, flush with the top of the bead 8 and adjacent the hinged edge of the door, supports the strip when the door is open. A striker 10 on the jamb forces the strip against the sill when the door is closed.
