Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 74 (ii).] A stop-motion for a circular machine operable upon thread breakage, or the occurrence of a knot or irregularity in the thread, comprises a pivoted dropper 12, spring urged to bring contacts 16, 20 into engagement to complete an electric circuit 21. An electromagnet 8 is energized to lift a countersunk peg 6 on a rotating member 4 into engagement with a notched disc 1 to actuate a brake or to stop the machine in any other manner. A dropper member 12 may be provided for each thread 18 fed to the needles.
