Abstract
699,458. Knitting-machines. FINE SPINNERS & DOUBLERS, Ltd. Nov. 27, 1951. [Nov. 28, 1950] No. 29031/50. Class 74 (ii). The bobbin threads which pass round the ways beams of a warp knitting-machine to control the speed o: rotation of the beams also pass through de vices which upon ab sence of the threads or in the event of their breakage actuate the stop motion of the machine. Each thread fed from its bobbin passes between fixed guides a<SP>3</SP> between which a lever is pivotally supported One arm b of the lever has a guide b<SP>3</SP> and i: supported by the thread passing througl this guide. In the event of absence o: breakage of the threac the lever falls freely until a second arm b engages a plate C for ming an electrical con tact thereby completing an electrica circuit causing the stop motion to be operated Spring pressed discs form a tensioning means E which is associated with each device.
