[Class 19.] A brush 3, Fig. 2, on a vacuum cleaner A is adjustably mounted on end trunnions A<1>, Fig. 1, so that the brush is always flat whatever the angle of the suction nozzle. The brush stock is in two parts 2 connected by end U-shaped members 4 with a resilient central member 4<1> and prolongations 5 whereby the brush may be sprung into and out of position.
