Abstract

613,995. Suction cleaners. AKTIESEL SKABET FISKER & NIELSEN. Nov. 2, 1945, No. 29186. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1940. [Classes 8 (i) and 99 (i)] In a suction cleaner nozzle comprising two relatively pivoted stem units 1, 15, 16 and 3 having thin adjacent ends 3, 15 connected together by a flexible conduit 5, which units are connected by an external hinge 11, 12, the units are either clamped by screws 10 in optional positions of pivotal adjustments or are left free to adjust themselves automatically to the angle of the surface to be cleaned. The hinge which may be a double one comprises lamellar pieces pivoted about a horizontal axis midway between the ends of the tube 5. The member 16 is secured to the nozzle and has a projection 19 engaging a groove 18 in the member 15 which comprises a split ring, and the members 15, 16 are clamped together by screws 13 at any desired angular position relative to the axis 14.
