Abstract
352,230. Vacuum cleaner nozzles. ELECTROLUX, Ltd., 153, Regent Street, London.-(Assignees of Inventia Patent- Verwertungs-Ges. ; 10, Herrenacker, Schaffhausen, Switzerland.) June 27, 1930, No. 19572. Convention date, July 16, 1929. [Classes 8 (i) and 99 (i).] A suction nozzle body has two or more suction openings 12, 13 of different sizes or shapes and is rotatably mounted on a suction pipe &c. 14, and automatically rotated e.g. by a weight 16 on being raised from the work. The pipe &c. 14 may be cranked and formed with a rib 17 engaging in a groove of the nozzle between a socket 18 and a ring 19 screwed to the nozzle body, or a ball bearing may be employed. Alternatively the nozzle may be slid over the end of the pipe &c. and held longitudinally by springs the ends of which engage in a groove. The edge of the smaller nozzle opening may be formed with small grooves enabling threads to be picked up.
