Abstract
218,489. Gem Labor Saving Device Co., Ltd., and Taylor, F. July 10, 1923. Pivoted handles.-Handles of the type having a ball and socket connection with a polishing mop or the like, have the ball or the socket carried by a curved stem on the handle: the wall of the socket is slit and worked over the ball to prevent the removal of the ball. The ball is carried by a curved stem 6, Fig. 1, screwed or otherwise fixed on the handle 4. This curved stem permits the handle being turned into horizontal position as indicated by dotted lines. The socket 3, Fig. 2, is fixed on the mop &c. head 1 and is formed with slits 10, its upper end being worked over the ball. Alternatively, the socket mav be carried by the curved stem 6 and the ball fixed on the mop head 1.
