Abstract
389,635. Bottle &c. closures. BLANCH, E. A. and KORK-N-SEAL, Ltd., 40, Norfolk Street, Strand, London. Feb. 13, 1932, No. 4285. [Class 125 (iii).] In a closure for bottles &c., of the type in which the cap is formed with a slotted skirt c the edge of which is formed to accommodate a divided ring d the ends of which are adapted to be drawn together by a lever f, the lever is formed at or near its free end with a loop or eye h and a sealing band k is passed through the loop or eye and around the bottle &c. neck to ensure that the contents are not tampered with. The ends of the sealing band may be secured together by rivetting &c. and the plane of the loop h may be normal or tangential to the adjacent surface of the bottle. In a modification the sealing band is formed somewhat like a conventional brass paper fastener with elongated prongs. Specifications 24766/11, 296,962, 300,091, [all in Class 125 (iii), Stoppers &c.], and 365,995 are referred to.
