[Class 64 (iii).] In apparatus for heating fluids flowing through tubes b connected to inlet and outlet headers by waste gases or other hot medium flowing across the tubes, to reduce the temperature in the more highly heated tubes, they are made of less resistance than the other tubes. The highly heated tubes a may be made of larger diameter than the other tubes, or when the tubes contain insertions, those in the highly heated tubes are made to offer less resistance than those in the other tubes.
