Abstract
387,611. Roller mills. BUHLER BROS., Uzwil, Switzerland. Aug. 16, 1932, No. 22965. Convention date, Jan. 29. [Class 59.] In a feeding device for roller mills in which a feed gap regulator 6 is controlled by a lever system 4, 3 from a flap 1 in the feed inlet chamber, the uppermost position of the flap is such that the point of contact a between the co-operating levers lies on the righthand side of the line joining the pivots 2, 5. As shown the flap 1, on which the cereals impinge on passing to the feed gate 6, is pivoted on a bar 2 provided with a lever arm 3 adapted to move with the flap- This arm bears on another lever arm 4, which may be extensible, extending from the feed gate 6 pivoted at 5. The point of contact a between the two lever arms moves upwardly along the arm 3 as the flap 1 moves downwardly so that the feed opening 7 opens at a more rapid rate and consequently the sensitiveness of the feeding device is increased.
