Abstract

1,232,678. Feeding sheets. ADDRESSOGRAPH-MULTIGRAPH CORP. 1 Nov., 1968 [13 Nov., 1967], No. 51983/68. Heading B8R. Sheets 14 are separated from the top of a stack by a pair of driven friction rollers 16 and 18 mounted on a shaft 20 pivoted at 54 so that any irregularities in the level of the top of the stack do not lead to unequal pressure from the rollers 16 and 18. The rollers are rotated by a driven shaft 60 which is connected to member 54 about which shaft 20 may pivot. Separated sheets are guided by plate 26 to transport rollers 28 and 30. Side guides 42 are provided alongside the stack and carry segments 46 which overlie the upper surface front corners of the stack. Guides 42 and shaft 20 may be displaced vertically to allow stack replacement. Feeler switch 52 detects when a new stack is required.
