386,513. Neckties. ROWLAND, R., Dominion House, Bartholomew Close, London. May 11, 1932, No. 13607. [Class 141.] A necktie is made in two parts detachable from one another, one part 1 corresponding to the neckband and tail-piece and the other part 2 to the part exposed when worn. The part 2 may be made of better quality material than the other part. Detachable connection between the two parts may be made by a hook fastening 3 sewn to one part and engaging slots 4 in the other part. The slots may be replaced by a tube formed in the end of this part. The fastening may take the form shown in Fig. 6, in which a metal plate 8 is provided with projections 6 capable of engaging slots 4. In a modification, a single T-headed portion is employed. In another construction, metal hooks and loops engage. The hook type fastenings may also be replaced by press stud fastenings.
