[Class 141.] Means for attaching collars to shirts, to dispense with the use of the usual back stud, comprise a strip of pliable material, which may be stiffened, permanently attached to, or formed integrally with, the neckband of the shirt. As shown in Fig. II, the strip is attached, by its centre part only, to the back of the neckband of the shirt, and the two ends a<2> are brought together, passed through the hole b in the collar, and then opened out to secure the collar in place. In the construction shown in Fig. IV, the middle part of the neck band is cut away, and the ends xx, yy of this part are brought together to form a strip M<4>, as shown in Fig. VII.
