[Class 117.] In sifting and conveying apparatus as described in the parent Specification, the flexible element consists of a series of transverse slats 2 connected together by a belt 1. The underside of the slats may have projections 3 which may be curved, notched or stepped so that a series of sharp blows are imparted to the belt when the rotating member 7 comes: successively into contact with the projections.
