[Classes 100 (i) and 100 (ii).] In sheet - folding machines whereir the sheets, after receiving one or more parallel folds, are severed intc several parts which are fed transversely to cross-folders, and an inclined roller feedtable n is employed for feeding the sheets between the folders, the rollers o are driven at equal speeds and are arranged either individually or in sets a<1> .. a<4>, at a progressively varying inclina. tion to the side-gauge p so that the severed sheets are separated from one another as they pass to the cross-folders. The inclinations of the rollers may be arranged so that the spacing between the sheets is greater at the end a<1> where the sheets leave the table. The folders may be either buckling folders or knife folders.
