Abstract
385,395. Small-ware looms. WALKER, G., 51, Milnbank Road, Dundee. Nov. 6, 1931, No. 30750. [Class 142 (ii).] In a loom for weaving narrow multiple fabrics two grooved shuttles are moved continuously in the same curved path, one passing above the other in the reed space, and one moving to the right whilst the other is moving to the left. The shuttles Sa, Sb, Fig. 12, are guided by fixed rails M and by rails N, which receive the shuttles and raise or lower them so that both may move through the same rectangular path. The shuttles are driven by the engagement with their slots S<3> of rollers C<2> on studs B4, Fig. 1, on slides on wheels B, rotated from the driving shaft, the roller C<2> engaging fixed cam slots J. The rails N connected by bars N<2> are raised and lowered by means of studs O, which engage slots on a lever Q, which is rocked about the driving shaft by means of a cam slot E<2> on a rotating wheel E engaging a bowl bolted on a slot in the lever Q.
