Abstract

393,386. Let-off and take-up motions for looms. HACKING & CO., Ltd., LIGHT. BOWN, W., California Ironworks, and BUXTON, A. M., Waterside Mill, both in Bury. March 21, 1932, No. 8280. [Class 142 (ii).] The let-off and take-up rollers of a loom are driven by multi-start and single-start worm: F, Fl respectively which are loosely mounted on a longitudinal shaft E and are operatively connected thereto by friction clutches H Operating handles K are provided whereby one or both clutches may be disconnected and the corresponding rollers stopped. The shaft E is driven through a train of gears, which includes a change wheel e<2>, and a shaft C<1> from the bottom shaft C. The rate of delivery of yarn from the warp beam can be varied by changing the wheel G.
