Abstract
1281600 Terry let-off motions CANNON MILLS CO 23 Oct 1969 [19 June 1969] 52071/ 69 Heading DIE The ground warps W on a terry loom pass over a pivoted back rest 14, whose vertical motion adjusts a variable speed gear controlling the let-off of the warp, and which is also arranged to move horizontally, in conjunction with a take-up motion which moves the cloth for fast and loose picks, to maintain constant warp tension. The take up motion is driven by a differential gear having two sun wheels, one of which is rotated to revolve planet wheels driving the normal take-up and the other of which is oscillated to move the planet wheels and impart an extra motion to the take-up for the fast and loose picks.
