Abstract

1425480 Terry looms SULZER BROS LTD 19 April 1973 [24 April 1972] 19059/73 Heading D1E To facilitate easy replacement of the terry beam 1, which is changed more often than the ground warp beam 2, the terry beam 1 is mounted under, the ground beam 2. The terry ends 11 pass around a pivoted back rest, controlling let-off, through droppers 13, Jacquard controlled healds 14 to the breast beam 16. The ground warps 3 pass around a beam 4, pivoted back 5, which, because of the run of the ends, moves only half the normal amount to control let-off, through droppers 6, through heald shafts 7 to the breast beam 16. The reed 8 beats up constantly and the breast beam 16 is pivoted to provide the fast and loose picks. The terry let-off may be controlled by nip rollers instead of a back rest.
