Abstract

1422373 Leno selvedge motions FIELDCREST MILLS INC 26 April 1973 [28 April 1972] 19970/73 Heading DIE A leno selvedge shedding motion comprises a standard half heald 17 that is axially reciprocated so that the standard thread 23 is always shed beneath the weft loop 12 and two leno half healds 15, 16 which always remain in the upper sheet position and are oscillated about a shaft 25, when the standard heald 17 is in its upper position, so that, as the standard heald 17 descends, the standard thread 23 passes between the half healds 15, 16 whose leno threads 21, 22 are crossed alternately on either side of the standard thread and are always over the weft loop.
