Abstract

582,064. Leno shedding mechanism. COURTAULDS, Ltd., and COTTERILL, E. July 13, 1944, No. 13405. [Class 142 (i)] A shedding mechanism for weaving leno fabrics includes discs 1 which are oscillated about a central guide eye 2 by a shaft 17 and have an elongated aperture 3 forming a guiding edge with a smooth curve adjacent to the eye 2, the angle between the extremities of the guiding edge being greater than 90‹ and less than 180‹. Specifications 5457/13, [Class 142 (i)], 445,914 and 559,744 are referred to.
