Abstract

674,574. Beaming yarns. TOWLER & SON, Ltd., G., and WALTON, J. July 20, 1950, No. 18101/50. Class 142(iv) Heald shaft are temporarily secured to warp beams during transit from the warping machine to the loom, to prevent disarrangement of the threads, by a pair of members 1, each member having a recess which engages part of the periphery of the one of the beam flanges, lugs 2 which position the heald shafts 6, and a length of elastic or a spring 5 which holds the shafts in position. Alternatively, spring biassed arms may hold the frames on the member by bands 7, or set screws in the members 1. The members 1 are secured to the beam 1 may engage the beam flanges. The device may be made of wood, metal or a plastic.
