Abstract

385,015. Regulating delivery of pumps. TECALEMIT, Ltd. and CHALMERS, R. A., Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex. Aug. 15, 1931, No. 23064. [Class 102 (i).] A diaphragm-actuated by-passing valve for use in connection with high - pressure pumps has the valve member normally held to its seat by the discharge pressure of the pump aided by an adjustable spring. The conical lift - valve member 2 works between guides 3 and has a stem 18 resting on a pressure block 20 above a diaphragm 21. The loading spring 13 bears against the valve member and is adjusted by means of a screw 15 secured by a cap 17. The conduit 4 is connected to the discharge side of the pump below a non-return valve and a connection is made from the discharge conduit above the non- return valve to the chamber 23 below the diaphragm 21.
