Aug. 25, 1932, No. 23830. Convention date, Aug. 25, 1931. [Class 38 (i).] An organic material, e.g. artificial resin, is situated away from the region where arcing will occur in a fuse cartridge, to provide arcextinguishing gas upon fusion of the element. The channel b of the cartridge containing the fusible conductors c is closed by discs, the innermost of organic material f, -and the others of asbestos e, a terminal cap d establishing electrical connection with the fusible conductors. In modifications, the walls of the channel are lined with organic material, or the latter is mixed with a sealing medium to close the ends of the channel.
