Dec. 4, 1930, No. 36618. Convention date, Dec. 17, 1929. [Class 38 (v).] Pneumatic actuation ; pneumatic blowouts.-A switch a is supplied with pressure gas such as carbon dioxide, through a valve d from a collector f having a safety-valve g, the collector being kept charged with gas from an accumulator i containing gas in the liquid state. The accumulator is surrounded by heat-insulating material k in which is embedded an electric heating element m which is connected and disconnected in accordance with the pressure in the accumulator, connection being made when, for instance, the pressure is lowered after operation of the switch. The liquid gas is kept at a temperature such that the saturation pressure of the liquid corresponds to the operating pressure of the switch.
