Abstract

383,887. Heating liquids. EISENWERK G. MEURER AKT.-GES., Cossebaude, near Dresden, Germany. May 6, 1932, No. 13122. Convention date, July 15, 1931. [Class 64 (i).] In a liquid heater comprising a hollow truncated cone 6, down the outside of which water runs, and provided with flanged holes 16 so that the heating gases pass out from within the cone without mixing with the water, the base of the cone rests in a trough 10 formed by turning the outer casing 8 inwards and upwards. The trough is provided with a hot water outlet 11. Round the cone are one or more inner casings 19 provided with flanged holes 22 to allow of the escape of heating gases within them. The cone and the inner casings may have inwardly directed ribs or may be corrugated. The outer casing has a removable cover 14 so that the cone and inner casings can be removed and cleaned. The structure may be supported at points 28, 29, 33 on a gas and water fitting, point 33 being the conduit leading to the hot water tap. A cock 42 controlling the hot water and a cock 41 controlling a cold water byepass are placed close to the delivery tap 40.
