Abstract
383,224. Flash signals. WILLIAMSON, C. M., Cascade Works, Litchfield Gardens, Willesden Green, London. June 27, 1932, No. 18128. Addition to 365,224. [Class 118 (ii).] The blades 1 of a shutter according to the parent Specification are of different length and pivot within a mounting ring 3. This ring is secured to a mount 6 by bolts 7 and eccentric collars 8 which centre and form bearing surfaces for a rotatable ring 5 carrying the operating triggers 4. The upper and lower sets of blades are caused to rotate in opposite directions by arranging the corresponding lugs 1a on the blades on opposite sides and the operating triggers 4 in opposite quadrants of the ring 5. The middle blade 1c is shown associated with the lower set of blades. The ring 5 is held against the frame 3 by screws 11 passing through slots 12 in the ring, and is pressed against the heads of the screws by spring-pressed balls 9 in the mounting ring 3. Alternatively the ring 5 may be pressed against the frame 3 by spring- pressed balls in the frame 6. The ring 5 is operated by a crank pin 13 working in a slotted arm 15 of the ring which is also provided with a spring 16.
