370,931. Variable-throw cranks. SELFADJUSTING TRANSMISSION CO., Ltd., 1209, Dominion Building, Hastings Street West, Vancouver, Canada. Jan. 9, 1931, No. 844. Convention date, Sept. 29, 1930. [Class 80 (iii).] A crank pin 16 is mounted on one of two elements 12, 13 adapted to run on tracks 4, 3, on one face of a disc 1 carried by a power shaft. Ball bearings 9 on the elements run in grooves in the edges of the tracks. The elements are constrained to the central position shown by springs 25, 26 acting through links 21, 19, 17, of which 19 are pivoted to the elements and 17 at its centre beneath the pin 16 to the disc. When the disc is rotated the elements 12, 13 move out radially and the pin 16 is given an eccentricity dependent on the speed of rotation.
