Abstract
383,197. Transformers; cut-outs. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. May 10, 1932, No. 13444. Convention date, May 16, 1931. [Class 38 (ii).] A transformer is protected from overheating by mounting a metal strip 6 between the windings, a fusible element 11, included in the primary circuit, being maintained in one or more recesses in the protruding end of the strip under the action of a spring 13. In the form shown, a doubled-up strip is employed, one end of which is bent at 7, Fig. 3, and the ends 9, 10 of the fusible element engage recesses in the offset ends of the strip, the end 12 of the spring surrounding the portion of the fusible element between the ends of the strip. Specification 350,845 is referred to.
