Transformers.-Windings C<3> C<4> of a transformer for use in a thermionic-valve amplifier are wound respectively in V-section grooves g<2>, g<3> cut helically round an insulating-base and interleaving one another and windings n<2>, r are wound in the same grooves but of thinner wire so that they sink to the bottom of the grooves and are held away from the former windings by the converging sides of the grooves.
