381,773. Drying electrical condensers &c. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON, 33, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. Dec. 10, 1931, No. 34257. Convention date, June 9. [Class 34 (ii).] Condensers and other electrical apparatus enclosed in evacuated casings 16 are dried by hot air, the heating source 5 for which is screened off from the chamber 1 containing the condensers &c. to prevent damage to the latter by direct radiation. The air is circulated by a fan 6 and enters the bottom of the chamber 1 through a duct 7 and flows back to the fan through a duct 4 and the heater 5. Perforated plates 2, 3 ensure an even distribution of hot air in the chamber 1. The walls 9 are double and filled with infusorial earth, the front wall being provided with a door 11 having an observation opening 10. The condensers 16 are supported on a carriage 13 which runs on rails 12. The moisture in the condensers is removed through pipes 14, 17 the outer ends of which are connected to a vacuum pump and to a reservoir containing impregnating liquid.
