Abstract
755,200. Rotary clothes drying apparatus. LOVELL MANUFACTURING CO. Nov. 26, 1954 [Jan. 15, 1954], No. 34313/54. Class 34(2). A tumbler dryer has a drum 5 surrounded by a generally cylindrical casing with upper and lower: sections 10, 11 respectively, within a cabinet having a front wall 3 spaced from the drum, a rear wall 8 spaced from the casing and a top wall 30 forming a heated surface upon which folded, dried articles can be stacked, an electrical heater 17, and a fan 21 with its intake 23 communicating with the casing interior and its discharge duct leading outside the cabinet, the casing having an opening 29 to the cabinet communicating with the space between the drum and the cabinet front wall. Louvres 32 can be opened to allow cool outside air to be drawn directly into the space between top 30 and the recessed section 16 housing the heater 17. Lint is collected in a trap 27.
