Abstract

1295344 Laundry dryers PHILCO-FORD CORP 10 Feb 1970 [10 Feb 1969] 6321/70 Heading F4G [Also in Divisions B1-B2] A laundry dryer comprises a drum 12, for containing wetclothesandrotatable on end bearings 14a, 28, and a fan 34 which draws air from outside cabinet 11, over heater 32, into the drum through its rear perforate wall 25, out through perforate front wall 21 and lint filter 24 and discharges the wet air to atmosphere. Drum 12 and fan 34 are both rotated by motor 33. Perforate wall 21 does not rotate with the drum but forms part of hinged front door 15 of the cabinet 11. Figs. 2 to 5 (not shown) illustrate various types of lint filter and means for removing lint therefrom.
