Abstract

531,346. Rotary laundry drier. TULLIS, Ltd.. D. & J., and WILSON, R. July 19, 1939, No. 20941. [Class 34 (ii)] A laundry drying tumbler is fitted with an endless band 4 guided by discs 2 and rollers 5-8 so as to constitute a semi-cylindrical wall. The band carries slats 9 which serve as lifters for the articles to be dried. To enable the latter to be introduced or discharged, the band is allowed to protrude through a doorway 13'to a position B ; for this purpose, the roller 8 is supported by an arm 11 pivoted at 12, and connected to the door 14. A fan and air heater unit 1a are provided in an inlet duct 1b, and an outlet duct 1c allows moist air to escape.
