855,289. Clothes driers. BURCO Ltd. Sept. 11, 1959 [Oct. 16, 1958], No. 33108/58. Class 34(2) A pleasant odour is imparted to the clothes in a tumbler drier by directing the air entering the drier over a block 11 of p-dichlorbenzene. The air is drawn over an electric heater 8 and through the drum 1 by a centrifugal fan 6. In another construction, the air is drawn over the block 11 at the front of the drier and the moisture-laden air is discharged from the rear through an outlet in the wall of the space in which the drier is located. A liquid germicidal or scented substance may be used instead of the block 11.
