Abstract

381,732. Hinges. SOSS, J., 647, East 1st Avenue, Roselle, New Jersey, U.S.A. Oct. 26, 1931, No. 29678. Convention date, April 17. [Class 65 (ii).] A covered joint hinge of the kind described in Specification 290,200 is pressed from sheet metal blanks. Knuckles 11, 12 on the butt 6 are integral with the cover 9 and thicker than the blank. The knuckles 11, 12 may be twice as thick as the blank and the distance between the walls 11a, 12a, Fig. 5, may be the same as the combined thickness of the knuckles 11, 12. The straight part 8 of the butt 6 may be flanged. Opening movement of the hinge is limited by the butt 7 contacting with the edge 10. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 290,200, [Class 65 (ii), Hinges &c.]
