Abstract

380,971. Vehicle lamps. ULMANN, G., 372, Mainzerlandstrasse, Frankfort-on- Main, Germany. Oct. 23, 1931, No. 29426. Convention date, Oct. 25, 1930. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv).] A vehicle lamp, which is arranged between the headlamps, has a reflector formed of two paraboloidal side parts P1, P2 joining in a, vertical plane V and having axes A1, A2 which intersect at an angle of approximately 90‹ at the common focus F, at which the source of light is situated, so that beams of light, 19, 20 are thrown one to each side of the road. Two similar paraboloids are used in the form shown. The centre parts of the paraboloids, lying between the vertical planes through the axes A1, A2, are replaced by a central piece, which may be paraboloidal. In another form, the centre parts of the paraboloids overlap, the apices lying within the reflector. A centre piece again replaces the parts of the paraboloids at the centre of the reflector. The lamp is mounted to project its beams inclinedly towards the road.
