Vehicle and like lamps.-A reflector for use in light-projection apparatus, particularly vehicle headlights, has its upper half b truly paraboloidal and its lower half c shaped so that sections on planes 3 - - 6, 3 - - 5, 3 - - 4, 3 - - 3, 3 - - 2 passing through the axis of the upper half are parabolas having the same vortex and their focal lengths increasing with the increase of the angular distance of the sectional planes from the horizontal. The light source is arranged at the focus f of the upper half. The light source shown consists of a lamp bulb d silvered at e to prevent the emission of direct rays.
