Abstract

377,638. Making nuts. SYVERSEN, S. G., Nydalen, near Oslo. May 24, 1932, No. 14705. Convention date, June 4, 1931. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv).] In a machine for making nut blanks by the cold process, a bar, fed through a guide 5, is positioned by an end stop 6 and a blank is severed by a tool 1 fitted with spring fingers 3. The blank is transferred to a guide 7 and is punched by a tool 8 co-operating with a die 9. A recess 10 in the die forms the chamfer on the blank. The tools 1, 8 are withdrawn and the blank drops by gravity in front of a die 13. A tool 12 is then advanced to push the blank through the die 13.
