376,268. Hydraulic transmission of power. KLUGE, H. W. J. K., 40, Mathysstrasse, and BÍLLINGER, H. S. W., 1, Edelsheimstrasse, both in Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. April 2, 1931, No. 10022. [Class 69 (ii).] In hydraulic power transmission devices employing primary, secondary and guide wheels, means are provided whereby the guide wheel can be held stationary, coupled to the driven shaft, or allowed to rotate independently of the primary and secondary wheels. In the form shown, the guide wheel 41 is connected to a drum 45 which can be held by a brake band 46, or coupled to the driven shaft 44 by a clutch 47. The parts carried by the driving shaft 43 may have cooling fins, or the liquid may be circulated through a cooler.
