[Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Groups XIII and XXXIV] A clutch for motorvehicles &c. comprising a part 1 driven by an engine &c. and secured by studs to an outer casing 11 and a perforate annular member 3 carrying friction discs 4, and a part 6 carrying steel discs 5 and secured to a driven shaft, is cooled by oil circulating thermosyphonically through air-cooled pipes 17 mounted on the casing. Adjacent pairs of pipes may be connected by common fins.
